  1. Register early! Put the date on your calendar! Registration will open on September 1st!
  2. If you are bringing a group of students, and are registering them yourself, print off one of our registration forms for your students to fill out ahead of time to make your life easier!
  3. Talk to your attendees about acceptable conference behavior, and how their behavior represents their home institution.
  4. Get ready for the role call! Put a very brief cheer together, and don't forget to wear your school colors—some schools might even want to design their own t-shirt to show off their pride!
  5. Dress for success, and the weather! The dress for the conference activities during the day is business casual/professional. The evening events are casual. Columbus can be chilly in January, so please be sure to bring warm outer-wear and comfortable shoes.
  6. The Fawcett Center is able to accommodate a very limited number of conference attendees. Our hope is to have a diverse group of individuals from a variety of institutions. To do so, we ask that you bring anywhere from one to a maximum of 15 students, and 1 or 2 advisors, to the conference.
  7. In order to have a successful conference and bring student leaders who are ready and willing to learn and grow in their leadership development, we have found it helpful to use an application process when taking students to a similar conference in the past. Attached are some sample documents you may or may not choose to use.
  8. Our hope is that you will join us for the Conference Social, so we will not only have some time together as advisors, but also to have a presence at the social for our students. To encourage your participation in the conference social, we have waived the $10 fee for advisors.
